The women in the civil rights movement made a point to show that support the black population also. Since they know that the men where taking steps in to there territory they should have told they them to back off. All the black women protest and marches should have stayed women and then they would have had credibility for doing something in that area. Overall even though they weren't mentioned in history they help a lot which made more of a difference than fame.
The article that I read stated all the true facts about the women that didn't get any credit for the things they helped make happen. Such as the bus boycotts and trying to get women to have equal rights and privaliges as men. Women got pushed to the background as the men ate up all the fame and credit for some things that they didn't even have a part in. Though some women didn't want to speak on the podium the ones that did the men wouldn't allow them to. They felt that they had done enough. The women that has supported and has done great things for everyone has not recieved any grand credit. I thank them all for making my future brighter and making with all of your will sure that us women get the same respect as men. Also to get treated like others would like to get treated.
What I read today was an article about unsung heroes and the Montgomery bus boycott. The article was basically teaching us about people that we didn't know like, Vera Piggy who educated her customers about how to register to vote. I didn't know that she did that or who she was and thats what this article was doing was teaching us about people who we didn't know. Women didn't get the recognition that the men got because they didn't want to give speeches. The men got their recognition because they stood up and gave speeches. That's basically what the article that I read today was about.
The main idea for the paragraphs in the article is that back then women didn't have the same rights as men did.The paragraphs are also saying that all of these women that helped get rights for women aren't recognized.Not a lot of people know what these women have done for women today. They made the world a little better for us women.
In todays news story, the writer was talking about how there were only (Ten out of one hundred) women that did not have equal rights to vote like the men did. The main idea of this whole story and article is to understand that,there were only women who changed the world by them selves not men not children but only women.
This article was about was women who played an important part in the civil right movement, and also in the Montgomery bus boycott.
It is also about that women did an important part in the struggle for equality. Women were also overlooked and stood in the background while the “prominent” men took over. After the bus boycott began, Rosa Parks couldn't speak at the first mass meeting. Some of the women were prevented from speaking at the march.

Vivian Malone Jones registered at all-white University of Alabama.Not a lot of people know what these women have done for us women today.
What the article was talking about was how black women were overlooked. Alot of women have done alot for us. We now have the right to vote and also they have gave us the right to sit where ever we want. The article has said alot of things about the bus boycott. Also about Fannie Lou Hamer, Vivaim Malone, and Rosa Parks. Women have changed the world.
Based on the question from kidbiz 3000, the woman did just as muck work as the men. They showed that they can be just as much help in the march. Most of all, the show the were equal to men, and they should of got more notice.

This article was about women who noticed the things that were wrong in their state and decided to make a change. Then men stepped in and took the leader roles and pushed those women aside. They were not noticed for all the hard work that they put in to change laws.It talks about how what those women did to change their state.

when I read the article today it was talking about how African American were looked down to and did not have any power.As black men were fighting to have the right to vote it did not count for the women because they had to fight for there own. even though women like Fannie Lou Hammer, Viv aim Malone and Rosa parks made history even if people know it or not. they did a lot of great achievements and they should be proud.

History has overlooked women who have helped achieve equal rights. People did not see women and men as equals so women chose to stay in the background. Women were in the background but they did do many things to help.There was a beautician named Vera Piggy who helped educated her customers about how to vote.

Historians now acknowledge that women were important in the struggle for racial equality.
While the women were in the background, they were not on the sidelines.

The boycott wasn't the only event where women took less prominent but still important roles.
Many women who attended the March on Washington could have spoken.

History skipped over who benefited to achieve social revolution. Historians now notice the women who were a big factor in racial equality. Women weren't known as much but did not take a backseat. they played an important part in the Montgomery bus boycott. When they started to get credit male leaders took control. When the bus boycott got going they wouldn't let Rosa parks speak at the first mass meeting. Parks pushed for racial justice for years and planned the events leading up to her arrest. In 1963, tens of thousands of females were in the March on Washington. Some women were stopped from talking at the march.
